The Bitter and the Sweet These songs were written through my struggles as a Christian single woman and single parent. When my life seemed inundated with anxiety or exhaustion or exhilarated with the kind of special joys that being complete “in Him” can bring, my heart overflowed with these bits of musical candor and advice that I sincerely hope will help you let Him keep you through the bitter and the sweet!
Butterfly and Me Becoming Whole--The title song in this album, Butterfly and Me, was one of the first songs I composed. It was poorly crafted, however, I was attempting to express the desire of my heart – that of being changed from what I saw myself to be - an ugly caterpillar - to a creation of beauty and freedom! These compositions outline the struggle and the ultimate triumphant evolvement into wholeness that I hope you’ll join me in!
Come Away My Beloved Praise and worship music has been part of my personal and corporate ministry since my youth. The songs in this album are composed and produced in many different styles from contemporary or gospel soul, to the minor keys that are frequently heard in Messianic Jewish praise. The message in some of the selections was inspired by Frances Roberts’ devotional book titled, Come Away My Beloved, which was very meaningful to my spiritual walk. May these messages from the heart of God bring you closer to His presence.
The Stairway To Serenity During a searching period of my life (as if every stage does not require searching), I was exposed to the twelve steps that are implemented in most recovery programs. I have learned that the steps can be a valuable source of not only recovery and self-discovery but can result in a deeper commitment in faith to whatever Higher Power is on the throne of one’s life. My own personal program of “working the steps” brought forth my interpretation in song that may inspire you, again and again! This song includes a representation of all twelve of the steps. Sing along and you’ll memorize the steps one by one!
Starting Over This is a cumulative album with selections from the above album projects that are frequently requested. The title song recorded “country-style” was inspired by a book titled, Transitions by William Bridges. There must be an ending for a new beginning to occur, but transition time is tough. The price of transition is worth the change!
